CANBERRA DISTRICT WINE REGION

Canberra district wines are liquid geography.

To understand the cool climate wines of the Canberra District, you must taste them.

This is a region creating distinct Australian wines, many becoming among the top choices of connoisseurs around the world. Winemaking started 160 years ago in the Canberra region. In the 1970s a resurgence began, pioneered by scientists who carefully researched the siting of vineyards, grape selection and use of traditional methods to produce low volume vintages that reflect the true nature of the variety, growing season and terroir.

Wineries focus more on producing quality wines and maintain a boutique look and feel. You are more than likely to meet the actual winemaker when you visit cellar doors for a tasting.

Bike aficionados will love the fit out, and the food – a modern take on the classic pub menu – is definitely worth a test ride as well.
